For three decades, the Woods Hole Film Festival has been a Cape Cod cornerstone, spotlighting global independent films and nurturing a dynamic community of filmmakers and cinephiles.

To help the festival prepare for their next chapter, we looked to their history—the eight-day festival mirrored in an octopus’s eight legs, their original mascot.

And from there, custom typography emerged, built on the symmetry of circles and referencing Woods Hole’s legendary history of marine geology and biology exploration.
